Introducing Christopher Davis: Safety Manager: Your 3rd Spot, Atlanta

At Your 3rd Spot, we reject the stereotype of traditional security roles. Our approach? Hospitality FIRST. Chris Davis, our safety leader, exemplifies this belief. His dedication, growth mindset, and captivating backstory make him indispensable to the Y3S culture and a part of what makes our team so great.

Beginnings
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Chris was the middle child among three sisters. He attributes much of his character to the unwavering support of his mother, Renee and grandmother, Mildred. Whether on the baseball field or playing an instrument, they were his biggest fans.

Team sports and music have instilled in Chris the value of individual excellence within a collective. He's proficient with various brass instruments, notably the tuba and trombone, but also masters the harp and baritone sax which led him to a music and academic scholarship to Savannah State — a proud milestone. From there he attended Kennesaw State University, where he excelled on the baseball front with his skills at shortstop and second base.

Academics and Early Career
With a Masters in Criminology from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!), Chris originally aimed to decipher the criminal psyche, particularly in drug-related cases. This led him to roles at the Department of Juvenile Justice in Clayton County.

A recommendation from a college friend landed Chris a security role at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, a stepping stone to working with the Atlanta Falcons and the NFL. His tenure included traveling with the team and experiencing multiple Super Bowls. However, the COVID-19 pandemic shifted his path, eventually leading him to Your 3rd Spot.

Journey with Y3S
From the outset, Chris felt at home with the Y3S family. He began with the door team at the opening of our first location and swiftly made an impact with his guest relations skills, living up to Y3S values of self-awareness, grit, adaptability, optimism, and empathy. Now, his leadership drives our front-door experience, always looking to grow and adapt. He's more than a title — he embodies the essence of Y3S. People first.

Outside of his professional life, Chris and his wife Ashley are food enthusiasts and avid travelers, with Greece, Bali, and The Netherlands on their wishlist. A sports aficionado, Chris can often be found discussing Alabama football or reminiscing about the WWE's Attitude Era with his AMP Up1 mentor, Aaron Sagendorf. Deeply rooted in his faith, Chris abides by the mantra: “Believe and trust in your journey and faith, and you can go anywhere.”

We're honored to have Chris on our journey and eagerly anticipate his continued growth and contributions. Stay tuned!
